Love Keeps PAL Centers Stronger.
It takes a village to raise a kid, and for some, we are the village.

Show your love in action: donate now and be a PAL to families who need it most.
PAL Centers are the heart of our community, safe spaces where families connect, children thrive, and urgent needs are met. This year, we are launching an annual appeal to raise $75,000 to cover rent and utilities for our PAL Centers. By securing these essential costs, we can free grant funding for programs that directly benefit families and children.
Why Rent and Utilities Funding Matters
Every dollar spent on rent and utilities reduces the resources available for life-changing programs. By funding these operational costs through community support, we can:
- Expand educational classes for parents and caregivers.
- Provide emergency assistance for families in crisis.
- Offer more free family dinners and social activities that strengthen bonds.
Your gift ensures that PAL Centers remain vibrant, serving as lifelines for hundreds of families.
Families and caregivers come to PAL for:
- Parenting and health classes (dental care, water safety, overdose prevention, stress reduction).
- Weekly family dinners for those struggling to afford balanced meals.
- Emergency support through the Family Opportunities Concrete Needs Fund.
Give a Helping Hand to Families in Broome County
We were able to help a dad who had been out of work with back rent and insurance payment. He was in the National Guard and was deployed to other areas of the state when the corrections officers went on strike.
This left his wife and children at home with no transportation. We assisted with the rent, and insurance, and when he returned home, we also assisted with getting him a basic laptop so he could look for full-time work.
He was able to apply for jobs online and did receive an offer to work in a position that would allow him to pay all of his bills going forward.
Another story We want to share with you is of a mom who had delivered a set of twins and have two older sons had been residing in a hotel for 7 months and used the PAL Center to get the boys out of the cramped hotel room and to a place where they could play with toys that they did not otherwise have available to them. While at the center, they accessed the clothing closet, diapers, and formula assistance and as they became more comfortable, talked with the PAL Coordinators about their situation.
In June of 2025, they received assistance from the Department of Social Services to move into an apartment. and through the FOC grant, we were able to provide two cribs & crib mattresses for the twins, a bed for each of the two boys, a double stroller for the mom to move around more easily with the younger children, 4 baby gates, and a mattress for herself.
The mom was very grateful that she would have a place that was stable and secure for her children and furniture for all her children.
Your gift today frees grant funds that can go directly to life-changing services like parenting classes, family dinners, and emergency assistance.
